Terms & Conditions

By downloading or using gencam (the "App"), you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before using the App.

1. Copyright and trademarks

The App — including its source code, visual design, name, logo, and any associated materials — is the property of the gencam team and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or redistribute the App or any part of it. You may not extract or attempt to extract its source code, build derivative versions, or translate it into other languages without our written permission.

2. Age restriction

The App is suitable for users aged 4 and above. Users under the age of 4 should use the App only under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

3. User works

Photos, videos, and any other content you create using gencam belong entirely to you. We do not claim ownership of your captures, and we take no responsibility for the content you create — you are responsible for everything you produce with the App.

4. Data backup and loss

gencam does not provide a trash, recycle bin, or cloud backup feature. Everything you create or import into the App is stored only on your device. If you delete content from inside the App, or if you uninstall the App, the data may be permanently lost and we will not be able to recover it.

You alone are responsible for backing up your content — for example, by exporting items to your device's Photos app or to another backup service of your choice. We are not liable for any loss of photos, videos, or other data caused by deletion of content, deletion of your captures, or uninstallation of the App.

5. Use of the app

We work to keep the App functioning correctly and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be free of bugs or interruptions. We accept no liability for any direct or indirect loss you may experience as a result of relying solely on the App.

6. App updates and discontinuation

We may release updates to the App from time to time. System requirements may change between versions, and you may need to install updates in order to keep using the App. We do not promise that the App will continue to be maintained indefinitely, nor that it will always remain compatible with the operating system version installed on your device. When updates are offered to you, you agree to install them.

We may also discontinue the App or terminate your right to use it at any time, without prior notice. If that happens:

(a) the rights and licenses granted to you under these Terms end immediately;

(b) you must stop using the App and, if required, remove it from your device.

7. Payment and subscriptions

All purchases made within the App (including one-time purchases and subscriptions) are processed by the relevant app store, such as the Apple App Store, and are governed by that store's terms and policies. If you are unhappy with a purchase, please request a refund directly from the store within the time window allowed by their refund policy.

Active subscriptions can be managed or cancelled at any time from your account settings on the corresponding app store. For billing issues, please contact that store's customer support.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page; any changes take effect as soon as they are published. Please check back occasionally so you are aware of any updates.
